TQE19/28 - Design and construction of a new bridge to replace Roses Bridge on Nulla Nulla Creek Road

Kempsey Shire Council invites tender submissions for Design and Construction of a new bridge to replace Roses Bridge on Nulla Nulla Creek Road 15.3 km off Armidale Road, near Bellbrook.

Tender documents are available online from Kempsey Shire Council’s tendering website, TenderLink - www.tenderlink.com/kempsey 

The Council’s Tendering Local Preference Procedure adopted on 20 March 2018 does apply.

Tenders should be submitted in accordance with instructions included in the information documents and lodged in the electronic tender box on TenderLink or via the Tender Box located in the foyer at Council’s Customer Service Centre at 22 Tozer Street, West Kempsey, prior to the closing time and date. The onus rests on the tenderer to ensure that the tender is lodged in accordance with the above requirements. Tenders should be marked: TQE19/28 Design and Construction of a new bridge to replace Roses Bridge on Nulla Nulla Creek Road.

TQE19/30 - Request for proposal: Kempsey LGA coastal zone & estuaries - Tidal Inundation Study & Coastal Vulnerability Area Mapping and Report

Council is seeking proposals from suitably qualified consultants with the capability to undertake a hydrodynamic ‘tidal inundation study’ and prepare ‘coastal vulnerability area mapping and report within coastal and estuarine zone within the Kempsey LGA.

TQE19/31 - Request for proposal: Saltwater Creek & Lagoon Estuary Coastal Management Program - Stage 1 ‘Scoping study’

Council is seeking proposals from suitably qualified consultants with the capability to undertake and prepare a Scoping Study for the Saltwater Creek & Lagoon Estuary in accordance with the Coastal Management Manual (OEH 2018) and the requirements and provisions of the Coastal Management Act 2016 and Coastal Management SEPP.

TQE20/1 - Expression of Interest: Construction of composite fibre structures

Expressions of Interest (EOI) are invited from suitably experienced contractors for the construction of composite fibre structures for three projects at Stuarts Point within Kempsey Shire Council.

The structures comprise:

  • A jetty/beach access structure approximately 36m x 12m with disabled access ramp and stairs to beach
  • A 10m x 6m viewing/fishing platform
  • A pedestrian access ramp 90m long x 2m wide meeting disability access standards

All three structures involve driving, vibrating or jetting 125mm x 125mm composite fibre posts to support the composite fibre superstructures. The decking on the jetty is 50mm hardwood planks while the viewing platform and access ramp have “Minimesh” composite fibre decking.

Preliminary plans are available through Council’s online tendering website - www.tenderlink.com/kempsey 

Council will supply all materials delivered to the site. The three structures will not necessarily be constructed at one time.

Interested contractors should provide details of experience in construction of composite fibre structures and experience in working over water to Fisheries Permit constraints for harming marine vegetation. Details of key staff to be engaged on the works and suitability of plant and equipment should be provided. Pricing is not required at this stage. Council will invite quotations from interested parties that demonstrate acceptable experience.

TQE20/2 - Request for Quote: Fleet Management Consultancy Project

Council recently initiated a fleet optimisation project to improve utilisation rates and to achieve the most efficient use of the fleet. This included an internal audit of the current fleet management practices and identified opportunities to review and improve the current framework with clear policies and procedures.

Council are seeking quotes from appropriately qualified and experienced consultants to undertake two projects to assist in the efficiency and utilisation of the current fleet as well as develop strategy for the future growth.

This request for quotes is broken into two projects and each project must be quoted on separately.
